First Aid

The BSA has always viewed first aid as an important life skill. We always have a first aid kit with us. There may be a time when you have to help a fellow scout who turned his ankle on a hike or maybe someone you don't know who is choking in a restaurant. Knowing first aid is one way to Be Prepared. 

First Aid Merit Badge - Eagle Required

CPR Training - 2 year certification that is a prerequisite for some merit badges

Wilderness First Aid - Advanced training required for some high adventure camps

The First Aid Merit Badge is offered at summer camp and at Merit Badge Workshops, CPR Training is offered each spring through the Tri-Community South EMS in Bethel Park, and Wilderness First Aid is offered through the BSA a few times a year.
